US Army Reconstruction Teams
Afghanistan
 In
late 2008 WorldWater & Solar Technologies was in contact with the US
Army Reconstruction Teams operating in Afghanistanfor the use of Mobile
MaxPure® (MMP) units in the rugged areas of Afghanistan in need of
clean water and renewable energy. Having heard about the success of
the Mobile MaxPure® being used by tribal leaders and villagers in Iraq,
the Teams working in Afghanistan expressed an interested in replicating
the project in the tribal areas of Afghanistan.
The units that were manufactured for this application were constructed
to match local Afghan power and voltage requirements and included extra
filters and consumables, a 2500 gallon pillow tank, tools and accessories
needed to operate the unit including a hoses, fittings, pumps, a sediment
filter, a mechanics tool set, lubricants, a solar powered flashlight
and more.
Since then, WW is in contact with the Afghan government to provide
Mobile Max solar-powered water pumping systems for irrigation purposes
in the northern border regions of Afghanistan.

All of the Mobile Max™ products provide clean
energy from the rays of the sun and are operational within 30 minutes
