Democratic National Convention

MaxPure® (MMP) was invited to participate in the 2008 Democratic National
Convention (DNC) in Denver, Colorado. The unit was showcased at the Green
Frontier Festival held just prior to the DNC, and also provided all of
the electricity needed to run two Freewheelin’ bike share stations during
the week-long Convention. Using its solar technology and 31 kWh battery
bank, the unit was able to recharge each day – even during cloudy days
– providing power all day and in to the night.
The MMP provided energy to run dozens of computers, credit card machines,
lights, fans, cell phone chargers and an electronic counter-machine depicting
the number of bikes checked out during the course of the DNC.
The utilization of the MMP system presented a truly ‘green’ option for
event organizers and helped them to overcome logistical issues in providing
power to temporary, outdoor facilities constructed for the event.
