New Company’s
First Project — Supplying 25 Mobile MaxPure® Systems for
Use by the US Army in Iraq – Is Completed and Shipped
Quentin T. Kelly has acquired the name of “WorldWater & Solar
Technologies” (WWST) plus the technology, inventory, equipment and
patents relating to Mobile MaxPure®, the proprietary solar water
pumping and purification system.
With the purchase, Mr.
Kelly assumes the titles of CEO and Chairman of WWST as a new private
company, incorporated in Delaware. The new company is headquartered
in its predecessor company offices in Pennington, NJ.
Its initial
contract of supplying 25 Mobile MaxPure® solar pumping and purification
units for use by a US Army combat team aiding Iraqi civilians along
the Tigris River has been completed and shipped as scheduled the
week of April 20, 2009. Each
Mobile Max unit generates up to 3.5 kW of solar electric power and
can pump and purify 30,000 gallons of water per day, thus enabling
some 150,000 persons to drink clean water from the heavily polluted
and contaminated Tigris. The
units have battery banks and are operational 24 hours per day, 7
days a week, delivering water for approximately one cent ($0.01)
per gallon.
“Mobile MaxPure® represents a vital change in health
and life for potential millions,” Mr. Kelly said. “It is currently
already operating in Iraq’s Euphrates River Valley under the auspices
of the US Marines, in Darfur, Sudan and in Ethiopian refugee camps,
and there are pending contracts with other governments in Africa
and Asia.
“Additionally, these units are ideal for combating disaster
situations following hurricanes, earthquakes, floods etc. for First
Responders who will have immediate access to electric power, water
pumping and purification and satellite communications. The
Mobile MaxPure® units are 7 foot cubes, robust and portable, able
to be transported to site by pickup truck, boat or helicopter and
operational in minutes after arrival on site.”
“We now have a field-proven
product which means every village and hamlet in the world can have
clean water and power. Clean water means better health,
better health means more productivity and productivity leads to self-sustaining
lives and economies. That’s the life- transforming impact of
Mobile MaxPure®,” Mr. Kelly stated.
