This solar project at Cerro Coso represented the largest PV array ( 1.1 MW ) ever constructed on a U.S. community college campus.

This ground-mounted array spans 6 ½ acres, creating a veritable field of energy which was supplied the school with 50 to 60% of its total electrical requirements, while reducing overall energy consumption.
WorldWater exceeded our expectations on this project, ensuring that all timetables were met and providing solar expertise that helped the project proceed smoothly and cost-effectively. They have been an excellent partner.
Richard M. Traynor, Vice President and General Manager, Contra Costa Electric
In light of difficult economic times for community colleges, this solar field will provide some budgetary relief for Cerro Coso Community College. It represents a much-needed savings for the college.
Dr. Sharon K. Dyer, President, Cerro Coso Community College
