WorldWater and Solar Technologies, Inc. provides alternative energy, clean water and irrigation solutions to customers in the U.S., Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. We had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Davinder Sethi, Chief Operating Officer of WorldWater to find out a little bit more about his business.
Q: What makes your business special?
A: WorldWater’s business is to help bring clean water to nations where there is none. We have a unique technology which produces clean water for drinking and can drive the largest pumps in the world—all from sunshine (solar).
Q: What did it mean to receive the 2014 Excellence Award and how does the award impact your business?
A: We are so honored to receive the Excellence Award for the technology we use to help bring clean water around the world. WorldWater strives to do good for all people and when we are recognized for that effort, it’s terrific.
Q: What is the biggest challenge in running your business?
A: One of the biggest obstacles we face as a small company is the lack of finances to execute our business plan and generate sales.
Q: What do you do to keep your employees happy and engaged?
A: One of the biggest problems facing employers today is the ability and resources required to attract and keep top talent. At WorldWater we make our employees part of the decision-making process and encourage them to be stakeholders in the company.
